Pine bark extract does not appear to improve cardiovascular health, according to a recently published study. Rich in antioxidants, pine bark extract is often touted as a natural remedy for hypertension, inflammation and other problems known to increase risk of diseases of the heart.
The study involved 130 obese people, high blood pressure, but were not taking blood pressure medication.12 Weeks participants took pine bark extract 200 mg or placebo every jour.Résultats study has shown that blood pressure, protein C - reactive (a marker of inflammation), sugar in the blood and cholesterol participants remains essentially the same in both groups of the study.
A handful of small studies suggest that the extract of pine bark can help ease menstrual pain and helps the management of childhood asthma .Cependant, more research should be conducted before pine bark can be recommended for any health condition.
